Pyxta is like a wizard asking the business user all the questions that a software developer and a data analyst might ask of them. The wizard then automatically converts the answers into the required results for the business user.
Pyxta is a suite of XBRL tools, templates and methodologies designed to enable business users to perform each of the 5 steps of the end-to-end business reporting process in a corporate environment: Define, Convert, Map, Execute and Render. At each step pyxta makes use of best practices derived from our work in global regulatory projects and in hundreds of corporate implementations.

Pyxta is built on the XBRL data and processing model, Machine Learning Technology (ML) and Natural Language Processing (NLP).
Every business' data looks different. Pyxta uses Business Data Semantic Standards (BDSS) to standardise the data and make it easy to understand and process.
Reporting on business data requires summarising and sorting the data into different "views" – such as management reports, financial statements, tax returns. The creation of each view requires the application of a different logic to the business data. This is comparable to the translation of the business data into different languages. Pyxta leverages BDSS, ML and NLP to understand what translation is needed to create each view/report, and to perform that translation automatically.
In traditional software development, the logic is hardcoded in the software code. This means that when the logic must change, for example to process different source data or when changes are made to the derived report, the software code must also change. This is a costly and rigid process for businesses.
Unlike traditional software applications, pyxta is designed to understand and standardise business data and processes without hardcoding any specific logic. Specific business logic is instead embedded into standards based executable templates. These templates can be configured, created and maintained easily by business users, supported by ML and NLP.
For regulators, pyxta technology makes it easier to embrace the use of simple business language in reporting obligations. NLP and ML used in conjunction with BDSS automatically perform the translation of business language into Government language.
